Piacenza at SPEZIA
Finally, some real action. For those about to dip their feet in the second leg of Serie B and A, MA says: careful, the first three or four weeks have a tendency to produce results
"against the grain" of stats produces in first 18 weeks. This is normal, as teams use the time off to realign their game plan with potential winter market acquisitions. Today's match is not my favourite of the Serie B card, but is worth a small stab. The variables are as follows:
1- If Piacenza is to make a run a Seria A graduation, they must beat teams like Spezia on the road. With two losses in the last 13, they have jelled nicely under a defensive 4-3-3 approach. I realize that their raod record is nothing to write home (3W-2D-4L, with only 6 goals scored), but that will have to change if they are to chase Rimini for the guaranteed second spot. Plain and simple, Juventus will begin to lose all competitors by week 26.
2 - Spezia at home has an average home record (3W-3D-3L), with sub-par fan attendance and support. They have lost their last two game: at home to Lecce 2-0, and 2-1 to Rimini. The scores don't really reflect how badly they played, especially against Rimini, where the score could have easily been 4-1.
A small and cautious play on the visitor, who is playing its best football of the season. On Wednesday, you could have gotten
the PK at +102. It is now -108 and climbing.
The play: Piacenza at PK -108 (3.5 units)
Cheers and good luck (don't want another 90th minute disaster)
